Graduated from the University of Virginia in May 1998 as an Echols Interdisplinary Major.
As an Echols scholar, I was freed from area requirements and given priority registration to
design my own course of study. Concentrated studies in government, economics, and media.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Reason. Burton C. Gray intern. Researched and wrote articles for "think" magazine with a national
circulation of 60,000. Helped with research; lent general editorial and office support. Los Angeles, CA. Summer 1997.
Consumer Alert. Summer Policy Analyst. Researched and wrote on public policy issues.
Published in national publications and member newsletter. Designed
and maintained website. Lent other general office skills.

The Cato Institute. Public Affairs Intern. Wrote media reports for contributors,

The Cavalier Daily. Wrote weekly column from Sept. 1994 to May 1998. Served terms

Outstanding Writer for 1997-98 out of staff of more than 100.
College Bowl. Represented one of the nation's top teams at tournaments of knowledge around
the country. Prepared questions and moderated matches for annual tournaments held at
