Women be different from men. And, apparently, girls be different from boys when it comes to video games, if you believe the industry hacks who spoke on the topic at E3.

The sentiment expressed by industry reps was that girls find violent games "boring". This comes as a shock to most people, who, regardless of gender, consider 85% of the video games released in this country boring.

According to the Mattel spokesman, girls "seek a more cooperative relationship" and "are interested in beauty", while boys "crave power". He then went on to say that his company's line of Barbie software products would ensure that yet another generation of women won't even begin to dream about taking power away from old white males, since they'll be too busy choosing which gown to wear to the gala ball.
