TV Guide Jeers Comedy Central

From the Dec. 23, 1995 issue of TV Guide.

Jeers to Comedy Central for canceling Mystery Science Theater 3000. Say it ain't so: No more Mike and Joel? No more Tom Servo and Crow? No more Torgo?! No says Comedy Central spokesman Tony Fox, who admits, "It's a sad day when we've got to let such a signature show diacontinue production" due to low ratings. A sad day, indeed. Mystie-eyed fans can console themselves with an upcoming MST3K CD-ROM, "Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie," The Amazing Colossal Episode Guide, and the 2nd "Conventio-Con Expo-fest-a-rama," to be held in Minneapolis on Labor Day. Last 'bot not least, there's always the chance that another network will want new episodes of the show when Best Brains (the outfit that produces MST3K) is free to negotitate with another network in January 1997. Sounds like a no-brainer to us.
