Ok, you wrote to Comedy Central when they canceled Mystery Science Theater 3000. You wrote to the Sci-Fi Channel when they were thinking of picking up the show. If you're a long-time MSTie, you probably wrote to Universal in 1994 to demand Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie. Universal didn't film the flick, but Gramercy did. And then they butchered it. You didn't make to the ConventioCon to see some of those cut scenes. Or maybe you did. The point is, you want to see the 88-minute cut those preview audiences saw. More riffing. The Storm Shelter sequence. You want to write to someone about MST. Why not write a nice letter to the folks at Gramercy, and ask for a video release of the full movie? Here's the contact information:
Gramercy Pictures 9247 Alden Drive Beverly Hills, CA 90210 phone: 310-777-1960 fax: 310-777-1966
As always, a polite paper snail mail letter (or 3000) is the best way to get
Gramercy's attention -- it shows you put time and effort into it, and would
definitely buy a few copies.
So go ahead and drop a note. I've seen some of those cut sequences, and
they're more than worth the 15 minutes and 32 cents.
Wait! Don't write yet. Gramercy will be bought out by Polyram soon, and we may be better off directing efforts to Universal.
